EDTC’2025
EDTC 2025 Annual Meeting was held in Portsmouth, UK on 25th-27th September 2025.
The European Diving Technology Committee (EDTC) came into being in March 1973 as a result of an initiative taken by the United Kingdom’s Society for Underwater Technology (SUT).
The European Diving Technology Committee (EDTC) is an independent platform dedicated to enhancing safety and standardization across professional and commercial diving operations in Europe. Operating under the motto “Securitas per unitatem” (Safety through unity), the organization brings together government delegates, medical specialists, industry experts, and trade unions to develop consensus guidelines on diving technology, occupational health, hyperbaric medicine, and equipment standards. By promoting the mutual recognition of diver qualifications and harmonizing regulations among European nations, the EDTC plays a vital role in advancing safety and operational efficiency throughout the commercial diving sector.
This document was prepared following Consultation among the members of EDTC and detailed discussion in the EDTC Work Group. Final approval of the document was given by the EDTC members in March 2018
