Work History: |
Having obtained my training in Public Health, I worked for
the Mpumalanga Department of Health from 1989 to 1999 as an
Environmental Health Officer. I was involved in the
promotion of health and hygiene in food outlets and
promotion of water and sanitation at rural schools. In 1993
was promoted to Senior EHO and in 1999 to Chief EHO. In 2000
I was employed by the National Department of Health whereby
I had to manage the water and sanitation project in rural
school which was funded by WHO. I was also responsible for
the promotion of public health at all the designated ports
of entries in SA to guard against the introduction of
communicable disease through goods and travellers. In 2007 I
joined the Department of Labour where I am presently the
chairperson of the diving council. |
